I've been thinking about getting botox for a while now as I've talked to many friends that have gotten the treatment done. They've told me how happy they were with the results and how they would go in to do their treatments regularly going forward since their first time.
I didn't know much about botox besides the fact that you get a few injections in your face and it supposedly gets rid of the wrinkles for a certain amount of time.
I decided to give it a try, so I linked up with Dr. Somenek and had an initial consultation via Instagram live where I asked him a few pre-visit questions.
There were my questions:
1. What kind of treatments do you offer?
2. Any specific treatments for men?
3. What is Botox? How long does the process take?
4. Any skincare tips or tricks for men for the spring/summertime?
5. Do you sell any products at your location? Any product recommendations?
After my pre-visit consultation, I booked my visit to his office.
Once I arrived, I filled out some initial paperwork and went right in to see Dr. Somenek. We started the visit by taking some initial photos to document what my some of my "problem" areas looked like prior to treatment.
From there, I sat down and finally Dr. Somenek explained the procedure would only take but a few minutes. He injected the botox around keys areas on my forehead and near the outer corners of my eyes where most of the wrinkles were present.
The injections were very painless and I was surprised to see how quickly the actual procedure took. Besides some initial redness around the injection areas, that's really all I saw or felt.
After the procedure, Dr. Somenek explained that it would take 3-5 days for me to see the full results and to try my best to sleep lying on my back when in bed.
After 5 days, I noticed a substantial difference in my face where Dr. Somenek had placed the injections. I was very happy with the results and couldn't believe how different my face looked without having so many wrinkles on my forehead or around the outer corners of my eyes!
I'd definitely recommend going in to see Dr. Somenek. He and his office staff are extremely friendly and make you feel right at ease when you're in the office.
