Liberte Yogurt

Last month, I had the opportunity to take my first Diego Downtown trip with the awesome people behind Liberte Yogurt. I traveled to Minneapolis, MN to to visit one of the only remaining mills in the US; The Faribault Mill Co. which is located in Faribault, MN which is just outside of Minneapolis, has been around for nearly 150 years.

I was lucky enough to have gotten a tour of the mill and got a behind the scenes look at how they take raw wool and create blankets, throws, scarves and accessories of remarkable comfort and quality which are all made in the USA.

During my visit, I stayed in the Hewing Hotel located in the historic "Warehouse District" which houses some of the cities coolest men's shops and boutiques. I have to give a shout out the guys from the Martin Patrick 3 store which was right next to my hotel. I must have spent about 2 hours in their store the first night I arrived. A definite must-see if you're ever in the area.

Here's a few other ones you should definitely check out while you're in the neighborhood:

1. Askov Finlayson

2. The Foundry (Pictured above)

3. Wilson & Willy's

While exploring around the neighborhood, I stumbled across this raw warehouse space where I had some pretty fantastic views of the city. I linked up with an loyal Instagram follower who was nice enough to spend a small part of the afternoon with me, showing me around and taking some pretty epic photos if you ask me.

Oh, and by the way, if you haven't heard of Liberte Yogurt, you should probably check it out next time you're walking down the dairy aisle at your local grocery store. They have some pretty unique flavors (which are delicious btw!) and plan to introduce even more flavors in the coming months!

All in all, I had a great time during my first visit to Minneapolis and definitely recommend paying a visit if you haven't been before!

2018 was a year of challenges, growth, and ultimately successes for me, both personally and professionally. After spending some pretty amazing, milestone years in Washington, DC, I embarked on a brand new journey by moving to NYC this past September. I’m very lucky to be surrounded by extremely supportive family and friends - ones who constantly push and challenge me to consistently grow and be present. I’ve taken my health & wellness to a new level and developed a real passion for fitness. What have I learned? Believe in yourself first, because your success is ultimately decided by harnessing the talent already inside of you to unlock your true potential. Here’s to a new job, new city and a new year. 2019, I’m ready for you and look forward to what’s to come. πŸ’ͺ🏽 #NYC #DiegoDowntown (πŸ“·: @johnrevisky)
